Easter Retreat for Salesian Animators 2012

The annual Easter Retreat was held at Savio College for the Salesian Animators. 31 young people took part. The retreat started on Good Friday and ended with Mass on Easter Saturday. A Lectio Divina was held on Saturday morning. It was a great occasion to reflect and share on the Emmaus story. The young people also participated in the Good Friday function and the Easter Vigil. Preparation for the summer camps is on the way too. A word of thanks goes to all those who gave a helping hand.

Boscofest makes it to the final of the President's Prize for Voluntary Work 2011.

"2011 has been dedicated to voluntary work. It is indeed an enriching area, particularly in Malta, where thousands of young people are directly involved in voluntary work. Despite the social services provided by the state, voluntary work offers a unique opportunity of self donation which would cost the government thousands of euros". These were some of the valued words which made up the speech of the President of Malta, H.E. Dr. G.


Carnival Party at Savio College- 19th February 2012

A Carnival Party was held at Savio College. Even though the event was right in the middle of exam time, 250 young people attended this event. Mass started at 7.30pm and was followed by a great Disco and costume party in the foyer of the Savio College multi purpose hall. It was great to have a good group from Isla who were accompanied by Fr Victor Mangion and Br Leli Gatt. A great atmosphere was created during the party with very creative costumes. Fr Eric Cachia and Fr Sandro Camilleri also joined us dressed up in a very original manner.


HDS live in- Form 2

A live in was held for the HDS Form2s on the 16th-18th January 2012. A group of 20 boys attended this live in. The experience was characterised with moments of recreation, study, formation and prayer. A big thanks goes to all the animators who organiseed this week.

A Live in for the HDS members who are still in Form 1 was held on the 9th-11th January 2012. 41 young Form 1s attended this livein. It was their first experience and it prooved to be a great start. A big thanks to all the animators who organised this live-in. 


Gospa Live in at Savio College

A Live in was held for the Gospa girls at Savio College on the 6th -8th January 2012. Gospa is a new group which started in October 2011. This weekend was indeed a great success. The girls came together, lived together, shared and prayed together. The weekend has indeed created a great bonding between the members. A great thanks goes to the Salesian animators (girls) and Mrs Rita Bezzina who has generously offered to animate this group.

Retreat for the Salesian Animators

All the Dingli Salesian animators came together for a retreat on the 26th-28th December 2011 at Savio College. It was a great opportunity to reflect on a very busy and fruitful year. Fr Eric Cachia lead the Lectio Divina and Fr Fabio Attard came and shared his vast experience as the General Councillor for Youth Ministry. Plans have already been made for Summer 2012.
