A live in was held for the HDS Form2s on the 16th-18th January 2012. A group of 20 boys attended this live in. The experience was characterised with moments of recreation, study, formation and prayer. A big thanks goes to all the animators who organiseed this week.

A Live in for the HDS members who are still in Form 1 was held on the 9th-11th January 2012. 41 young Form 1s attended this livein. It was their first experience and it prooved to be a great start. A big thanks to all the animators who organised this live-in. 


Gospa Live in at Savio College

A Live in was held for the Gospa girls at Savio College on the 6th -8th January 2012. Gospa is a new group which started in October 2011. This weekend was indeed a great success. The girls came together, lived together, shared and prayed together. The weekend has indeed created a great bonding between the members. A great thanks goes to the Salesian animators (girls) and Mrs Rita Bezzina who has generously offered to animate this group.

Retreat for the Salesian Animators

All the Dingli Salesian animators came together for a retreat on the 26th-28th December 2011 at Savio College. It was a great opportunity to reflect on a very busy and fruitful year. Fr Eric Cachia lead the Lectio Divina and Fr Fabio Attard came and shared his vast experience as the General Councillor for Youth Ministry. Plans have already been made for Summer 2012. 


Christmas Midnight Mass at Savio College 2011

The Christmas Midnight Mass 2011 at Savio College was a memorable occasion. Over 500 people attended. The preparations for the Midnight Mass started some two months before. The Saleisian Animators generously offered their time to transform the multi purpose hall for the Mass.  HDS Form1 animated the pageant this year. Fr Joe Portelli, Rector at Savio College celebrated Mass.

HDS and Gospa meeting. (3rd meeting) 3rd December 2011

The 3rd December was a full day during which HDS forms 1,2 and 3 met at 10am-1pm. This was the third meeting for this year (as from October). The meetings were held at Dar Don Bosco in Dingli. 145 boys attended in the morning. In the evening a girls met for a meeting at the oratory. Godwin Genovese was the speaker and he spoke about personal growth. Well done to all the Salesian animators.

HDS live in for Form 4 at Savio College

HDS Live-in Form 4 was held from the 29th November - 1st December 2011 at Savio College. It was a great two days in which the 27 students participated in all the activities organised by the Salesian animators. The highlight of these two days was reached on Tuesday evening with a discussion on the film "Letters to God". Well done to all those involved.

HDS Live-in Form 5 was held from the 21st -23rd November 2011 at Savio College. It was a great two days in which the 31 students participated in all the activities organised by the Salesian animators. The highlight of these two days was reached on Tuesday evening with a session entitled "Life after Savio". Among other things Bro Jake Mamo and Br Pierre Bonnici shared their vocation story with the students and the students in turn had the chance to formulate some good questions for them. Well done to all those involved.
