  • At age 9 had a dream which was of an inspiration through his whole life.
  • Used to entertain his mates as an acrobat which followed with sharing of bible passages and Sunday homilies.
  • Had a number of dreams through his life which continued to inspire him for his work or were an occasion of formation for his kids.
  • His way of doing with the three characteristics of reason, religion and loving kindness helped him to reach youth. This system is known within the Salesian world today as the Preventive System.


  • At age 20 entered the Seminary in Chieri
